Recently I had the opportunity to spend an entire day photographing Australian Ruby Award winning romance writer Tanya Bird, to capture a visual photographic essay of a day in the life of an Author. The result was a series of rich, meaningful images taken throughout the day that will help shape her website content and social media posts for the coming year. Here are some of the highlights that she has kindly agreed for me to share. Be sure to click on the link here to view her amazing work!

Documentary style photography such as this can be very rewarding, as you just never know when an unscripted moment is going to candidly unfold before your very eyes. Combined with short splices of video which I also shot between photos I then stitched the whole day together into a 2-minute video mixed to music for Tanya to share exclusively with her fans. The result was a raw and amazing look behind the curtains of Tanya's life.
