My arts background is a spillover of my photography into non-traditional presentation, and stems from a lifelong passion of creating model railway scenery, structures and dioramas.

This piece was exhibited as part of the 2024 TAFE Queensland mid-year exhibition at the South Bank campus in Brisbane. The image was printed and applied to a piece of 5 mm thin Silver Quandong timber in a painstakingly slow process and features a quote from my own poetry. Read more >

A scanography piece where the image was constructed in layers atop a flatbed scanner to capture the three-dimensional quality. This piece was also exhibited at the 2024 TAFE Queensland mid-year exhibition at the South Bank campus, Brisbane. Read more >
Passing ships (cyanotype print) ~ Philli Overton |
My cyanotype print 'passing ships' was developed on sensitized filament paper under UV lighting, peroxide and running water to achieve the cool blue denim look of the above image. It took 13 attempts before I was completely happy with the final image. This piece was also exhibited at the 2024 TAFE Queensland South Bank campus mid-year exhibition. Read more >
The splash! (chemigram print) ~ Philli Overton |
A chemigram print developed in a darkroom from one of my photographs, only using the developer fluid as paint to achieve the splatter and drips rather than traditional photo developing. The splash effect complements the splash of the wave in the original photograph. Read more >

- a 3D sci-fi themed art piece featuring scale modelling set against a photograph.
- a 3D surrealism recreation constructed from LEGO, timber and photograph.
